The winter solstice brings the long-awaited return of our rich and ridiculously tasty Darkest Night Quad (DNQ). We’ll be pouring the ’24, ’25, and brand-new ’26 editions—plus our beloved barrel-aged version. If Belgian beers are your thing, Quadsmas is a celebration you won’t want to miss.
Why are Belgian Quads such a big deal? Let us tell you.
Belgian Quadrupels (or “Quads”) are the deep, contemplative giants of the monastic brewing world. Think huge notes of dark fruit, fig, raisin, and caramelized sugar; warming complexity; and a silky richness that is never cloying. These beers are traditionally brewed in small quantities, meant for sharing, cellaring, and savoring—often around winter holidays.
Quads are prized because they show what happens when simple ingredients meet patient, old-world technique: long boils, expressive Belgian yeast strains, careful fermentation, and time. The result is a beer that evolves year to year, gaining layers of flavor and character as it ages. It’s why side-by-side verticals are such a treat, and why this style holds a near-mythic status among Belgian beer lovers.

Boob-A-Palooza is the American Cancer Society’s signature summer fundraiser benefiting Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Seattle. This high-energy event brings together our Making Strides community for a night of live local music, craft beer, a participant-curated silent auction, and inspiring stories—all in support of the American Cancer Society’s mission to save lives from breast cancer.
Get ready to rewind the night as we bring back the '80s with an unforgettable performance by local favorite 80's Ladies! Guests are encouraged to embrace the decade with their best neon, leg warmers, big hair, and totally rad costumes as we celebrate with music, connection, and purpose.
Whether you're a longtime supporter or new to Making Strides, Boob-A-Palooza is a fun and meaningful way to get involved, connect with our community, and kick off the Making Strides event season while helping create a world with more birthdays.

From the major earthquakes making headlines around the world to the surprisingly measurable seismic shaking caused by tens of thousands of Swifties dancing at a Taylor Swift concert, the ground beneath our feet is moving more than you might think.
Join us one week early this month, on August 18, as we dig into the science of earthquakes: what causes them, how we measure them, and what all that shaking can tell us.
