It will be an evening of books, imagination, and lively conversation as these writers share their work, talk about Czech science fiction, and answer your questions. ABOUT WORLDCON

The World Science Fiction Convention -- or Worldcon -- began in 1939 in New York as a gathering of a few dozen “scientifiction” enthusiasts. Unlike various Comic Cons, Worldcon focuses more on literature, is run entirely by volunteers and on a non-profit basis. It doesn’t sell tickets but instead offers “memberships.” Additionally, Worldcon is nomadic, and every year it is organized by a different group in a different city.
