Join us Thursday 8/14 to meet acclaimed science fiction writers and translators from the Czech Republic who are in Seattle this week to attend Worldcon, the World Science Fiction Convention. It will be an evening of books, imagination, and lively conversation as these writers share their work, talk about Czech science fiction, and answer your questions. Raise a pint, meet the authors, and celebrate a slice of Czech culture right here in Seattle!
Help us welcome the Czech Worldcon delegation to Seattle:

ABOUT WORLDCON
The World Science Fiction Convention -- or Worldcon -- began in 1939 in New York as a gathering of a few dozen “scientifiction” enthusiasts. Unlike various Comic Cons, Worldcon focuses more on literature, is run entirely by volunteers and on a non-profit basis. It doesn’t sell tickets but instead offers “memberships.” Additionally, Worldcon is nomadic, and every year it is organized by a different group in a different city. This year’s Czech presence includes:

A booth hosted by the Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Los Angeles
